CREATIVE PLACEMAKING

Creative Placemaking and Cultural Arts Master Planning are a vivid component of supporting a robust, accessible visible arts presence. Over the years, Santa Barbara has been engaged in a number of different planning initiatives, collaborating with various city and county stakeholders across the public, nonprofit, and private sectors. The City Arts Advisory Committee and Arts Commission are both tasked with developing and maintaining Arts Master Plans for the community. Both bodies make arts policy recommendations to their respective elected officials.
