Scaling the Walls- City Hall Gallery

Scaling the Walls is a single exhibition spanning City Hall and Channing Peake galleries that explores the history and contemporary practice of muralism in Santa Barbara County. Featuring large-scale original works and designs from emerging artists, collectives, and educational institutions, the exhibition highlights the artist’s role as a vital cultural catalyst. Through this collection, the show aims to spark dialogue about our shared environment while celebrating the rich tradition of personal expression in public spaces. The City Hall gallery features Arts Alliance members whose work reflects collaboration, public art, and the community roots of Santa Barbara County’s mural tradition.
